5th Wheel Dining Room Makeover Reveal

I’m excited to finally share a finished space in the fifth wheel! Today’s post is all about how our 5th wheel dining room makeover turned out.

Before we dive into the pretty details and talk about the design choices for this little corner, here’s a look at the original space. This is what it looked like before:

I really wanted our dining area to be a comfortable place to share meals without feeling crowded with bulky furniture. The space turned out even better than I envisioned.

It went from an outdated look with a bulky set of RV table + chairs, to a cozy and inviting little “room”. Ok it’s still not a room, but it has a big impact on our living space in the RV.

Table + Chairs

We opted for a drop-leaf table to save space while also having the option to create more room at the table when needed.

I picked out these low back chairs to keep the space from feeling overcrowded, especially with it being so close to the sofa. It feels amazing to be a little less cramped.

New High Chair

And now this space is extra special because we’re able to fit a high chair at the end of the table!

I’m so happy that our little one can now be right up in the action at every family meal so she’s a part of all the conversations, family time & bonding experiences. We didn’t own a high chair for the first year of her life, and now that we have one I wish we wouldn’t have waited so long!

Meal time is always a little messy with this little cutie of ours but this washable, adjustable, and portable high chair makes those messy moments more manageable.

Curtains + Lighting

We replaced the dated RV light fixture with this white + brass beauty – it definitely gives the space a whole new feel. It looks so much more modern and we LOVE it.

I went with light beige curtains for a cozy + more dramatic look. I love the way they instantly warm up the space and add depth + texture. I still need to hem them, but overall I’m really happy with how they look!

Rugs

I love the look and feel of the layered rugs in here. I chose a jute rug in the color ivory to brighten up the dark floors in the fifth wheel. The woven texture and chunky knots add so much interest to the space – it’s very similar to our jute rug from this post, just lighter in color.

And then the top rug is one I’ve been eyeing for sooooo long. I’ve seen it in countless homes on Pinterest and Instagram and it seems to have become one of the most popular rugs on the market today.

And for good reason, it’s gorgeous and has a “vintage” look to it. I put vintage in quotes because it has a vintage look, but isn’t actually a vintage find which means it’s super affordable! Depending on the way the rug is facing and how the sunlight is hitting it, it can take on a slightly different look and color tones. It’s extremely versatile!

That wraps up this reveal! Stay tuned for more reveals and updates as we start finishing up the fifth wheel remodel!
